Green Beans Porial

Green Beans Porial is a South Indian stir-fry dish made with green beans, coconut, and spices, cooked until tender.

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add urad dal and cumin seeds, sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add chopped onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  5. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  6. Add the green beans and salt, stir to combine.
  7. Cover the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender.
  8. Add the grated coconut, mix well, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and serve warm.
