Hyderabadi Mutton Fry

Hyderabadi Mutton Fry is a spicy dish prepared by marinating mutton with spices and frying it with onions and green chilies.

Oil (for frying)4Tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix mutton pieces with ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, yogurt, and lemon juice.
  2. Marinate the mutton for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated mutton to the pan and cook on high heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the mutton cook for 30-40 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add slit green chilies and curry leaves, and fry for another 5 minutes on high heat.
  7. Check seasoning and adjust salt if necessary. Serve hot.

Prep

  • Marinate mutton for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
