Kheema Samosa

Kheema Samosa is a deep-fried pastry filled with spiced minced meat and peas, wrapped in a thin dough sheet.

All-purpose Flour (for dough)250Grams
Water (for dough)120Milliliters
Vegetable Oil (for dough)2Tbsp
Vegetable Oil (for deep frying)500Milliliters

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add green peas and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  7. Add chopped cilantro and lemon juice to the cooled mixture. Mix well.
  8. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, water, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  9. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a thin circle. Cut each circle in half.
  10. Form a cone with each half-circle, fill with the meat mixture, and seal the edges with water.
  11. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
